You and I seem to have a similar taste in cars. I’m not a Ford guy, but I’ve said that any Ford I MIGHT ever own would have to have a 429 under the hood. I sure like the shape and stance of a 1970 Torino. Great post...

The seller 'thinks' not the orig motor but all the SCJ stuff is there.. That car can bring some $$/ Rare

Yes, he mentions that was changed to buckets/console at one point in the discription

US Torinos were 120 and the Canadians read to to 200 kph, I believe. Or it was swapped out with an aftermarket speedo overlay. Some guy was making higher speed one years ago

That's a beauty! The current Canadian owner hasn't seemed to have transferred it into his name since buying it in 2012. So a US buyer would have to insist he does so (meaning Mr. Alberta pays taxes at his DMV) in order to secure Canadian title , or be prepared to have a good story ready at the border as to why they don't have the same name as the Arizona person on the title.

We do not pay taxes on a newly purchased vintage car at the Alberta DMV. Any taxes would already have been paid at the Canadian border when the car entered Canada. The car would have to pass an Out Of Province inspection and be insured in order to register the car in Alberta... along with paying a $39 fee for registration as an antique.

Ah yes, "no sales tax" Alberta. Lucky ducks. He still has to title it in Canada before it can leave the country (technically ;)

Lots of unguarded logging roads on that border though...
