Looking at buying COPO can’t find VIN

I am considering buying a COPO camaro that is located overseas. I have no way of seeing the car in person and wanted to ask a couple of questions. The VIN is 124379N616204 but I cannot find a reference to this anywhere on this website or any others. The current owner has had the car for over 20 years and says it is a real COPO. What would be the best way to start getting the car authenticated without spending significant dollars up front - is there anyone who can tell if the VIN relates to an authentic COPO before I try and find someone to inspect the car for me.

If that’s the car and it’s a true black COPO car, it’s way under priced.

Need pics of the tag and the stamps on the front of the engine block, transmission and front edge of the passenger side axle tube to verify it as real.

It is extremely difficult to verify a COPO without genuine Chevrolet documentation. All the suggested pics are a good start but could prove inconclusive. There are plenty of very well-done clones around; some with real L72 engines. An inspection is mandatory but once restored, originality is destroyed. Anything could have been done. The pics show radio ground straps but no radio. Hmmm...

427/435?????? Photo is not from EU. Rarely ever seen bias plies on American cars in EU.

One would have to be skeptical. Can't imagine any knowledgeable seller marketing such a car without a pic of the trim tag at the very least, and at least mentioning the engine stamp and rear axle code.

Thanks for all the replys - I am skeptical about the originality of this car too but don’t know enough to reach an informed view. Based on the responses I suspect it is not worth much more time investigating.

At the very least, ask the seller to send you pics of:
Trim Tag
Engine pad stamp
BE stamp on the rear axle.

if those look good, it would be worth checking out further.
