I recently purchased a 1967 Camaro RS/SS 396 project - L35/M40 car - Tahoe Turquoise with deluxe black interior. The NCRS report came back to being produced July 7, 1967 and delivered to Bob Eriksen Chevrolet.

I did some searching around and found this was quite the dealership. Some of the cars they sold include a 1965 Chevelle Z16, 1967 Camaro Z28, 1967 Corvette L71, 1970 Yenko deuce Nova. Probably also a lot of other performance cars.

Does anyone have knowledge of this dealership having any connections to Yenko, Nickey, Span, Inc or Dick Harrell?

This car is in the 124377N248xxx range and has Pontiac rally wheels on the front. I have no idea how long they have been with the car. Rear wheels are 8 inch wide Chevelle SS type wheels. Regular SS hood. No factory tach but signs that there was one strapped to the steering column in the past.

Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

Bryon:
PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a bunch of ads. Anything I can find referencing Camaro's from 67 ads, etc.

Yes they were a Yenko network dealer.

Joe thanks for that info. Can you say for sure that they were in the summer of 67?

I know they were in 70 because they sold a Yenko Nova.

Not sure when they became a network dealer, but it may not have been until 70.

I checked with the dealership. They don’t have any of the old records.

I owned a burgundy with red stripes 69 Z28 that was originally sold at Eriksen Chevrolet in Milan Illinois. I found information on the original owner of the car and was able to contact him. He sent me the original bill of sale from the car and pictures of the car with red stripes sitting in the lot the day he bought it in November of 1968. I ended up selling the car back to the original owner in about 1994.

Cool story. I contacted the local Camaro club, but nobody seems to remember this Tahoe Turquoise L35/M40 car.

He was ecstatic, they even did a story about it in the local paper.

I just talked with my friend that bought the burgundy 69 Z28 new at Eriksen. During the course of the conversation he related that one of his friends looked at a new Camaro there that "had headers in the trunk." He also stated that two brothers he knows worked there and they unloaded the burgundy with red stripes car from the shipping truck along with a dusk blue 69 Z28.
