For years I've been seeking info on a different car I believe Gil Tremblay maybe owned/piloted so seeing anything else of his, especially a Bob McDonald car is something special!

"Moncton New Brunswick racer Gil Tremblay. Gil ran a Supertest station & speed shop called D&G Speed with partner Dennis Surette. It was located in Moncton, across the street from the General Motors zone office where they received and sold hi-performance equipment on consignment. They became a Karbelt associate in the early 1970's. Gil's cars were sponsored by Bob McDonald Chev-Olds in Halifax. Gil past away much too early in his thirties of an brain aneurism. Great pictures. I like that the back of the hood has been shimmed up on the 67 Camaro. I haven't seen that in a long time. We used to think it let heat out of the engine compartment...............in reality probably did nothing or next to nothing

the 68 427 Chevelle has the Motion Super Car Club decal on the pass vent window and the 69 Camaro has it on the dr side rear window

I wonder if the 68 Chevelle was from Motion?

Looks like a Shiefer decal and a MP decal Top Cat or possibly the elusive character in the hot rod with bold orange MOTION on the top of the circle decal too...

Bill, when I bought my '69 SS396 Nova back in '91 we did some mild work to the motor. I found that my car did run better with the rear hood up about 1.5" gap in the rear. Not sure if it was heat, "air-trapped" in the engine compartment or just more air to the carb. This car/combo would run 10.40's back then and shifted 78-8200 with the M21 and 4.56/4.88's.
