Have an original Big Block fan shroud and cannot find the part number on it. Can someone tell where to look? Thanks

Big block what? What year? If 69 Camaro, factory p/n is 3947619. I'll try to remember to take a pic of mine tonight when I get home.
From William over on CRG. Just in case it doesn't turn out to be factory.
"I found an nos fan shroud with the old style blue GM sticker and the part# 3947619 stamped in it.How would I tell if it is assembly line correct???I have heard there are variations in the texture of the plastic. Thanks"
"One difference: current '69 service shrouds have 3 horizontal beads molded into the top near the edge. They are easy to remove.
The service part number as of the early '90s was 3938615."

Forgot to add the shroud is for a 69 Camaro. My chemo brain lets me down sometimes!

No worries. I'll get a couple of pics when I get home. Mine is sitting next to my SS right now. Good luck with the chemo!

Here you go sir. Let me know if you need a different angle. The number is molded in on the drivers side towards the radiator about half way down.

I checked all 3 of my shrouds and the number was right where you said they would be. Must have overlooked at least 6 times wiped them down with a wet paper towel and they magically appeared . Thanks again Dave

How do you go about this without it showing?

How do you go about this without it showing? You'd have to ask William. I don't know how much time he spends here, but he's always over on CRG and camaros.net.
It's just plastic though. I'm sure if you were careful you could cut a majority of it off and then polish the rest. If it's an older one, it would probably be a lot harder to match the rest of it.

Thanks Dave. I'll check with William @ CRG.
