Were the original Formula hoods made of steel or fiberglass?

Very heavy fiberglass (heavier than the steel Trans Am hood). They also warp in the middle from the hood spring pressure. And dummies store them on their "points" (the windshield end) which them break off and make the hood into scrap.

Does this one look like a real GM hod? I thought $150 was a pretty good price if it's not damaged. Only one picture of it, so it's hard to tell. I thought about getting it just to hang on the wall. I love those hoods.

It looks 100% a factory hood to me. I dont think a aftermarket was ever made. Also I think $150 is a great deal if it has no damage to rear points. Also check the rear vent opening. It's very common they are broken. Look it over real well make sure there isn't any separation either.
