Seller sounds like he's not sure whether this one was ordered from the factory as a Super Sport. The car is far from a 'survivor' so it's hard to say just from visual evidence, but it would be nice to see a pic of the trim tag....
Neat car nonetheless.

Not a chevelle expert by any means. The Muncie shifter in my original SS chevelle is much different. A friend back in the day had a Malibu 350 4 spd that had that exact shifter. Just an observation.

I wouldn't call myself a Chevelle expert by any means, but that looks like a dead ringer for the bench seat Muncie shifter I've had in two original cars I've owned, FWIW.
There's a whole lot of mish mash parts on this car. Would be fun to see if it was local.

That's not an accurate statement.

I believe we all know what he was attempting to say.....but it did not come out too well.

Just curious....Are those 68 Malibu interior door panels on the car?

Correct, the Fronts are '68 Malibu Coupe.
The Rears are re-covered 1970-72, hence the rear arm rest / ash tray.

Actually, the doors are off a 1968 as the lock button is towards the back. A true 1969 lock button is farther forward, easier to reach, but hurts the elbow when resting on it.....lol
1968 Novas are the same way.
