One of the nicer 3138 shifter bodies. I bought this for my 03D Camaro before it was discovered the date codes are on the side. The rods measure 15/32 with no numbers on them & was told it was for a 1970 Pontiac. $500 plus shipping.

If I'm not mistaken wrench, that's a July 69 shifter. Take a look at this thread over on CRG if you're interested.

July 69 for a 70 model car. I am thinking now it might be for a 70-71 Camaro. The rods are almost 1/2 in in diameter.

Changed my mind. 1-2 shifter rod is different.

There has been some skepticism, but what I have found was the first two digits like this example indicate (79) indicate a build date of July of 1969. There have been some anomalies, but feel comfortable that it is a date. This is based on original cars I've owned or certified that have build date which correlates to the shifters date coding. I know on the CRG site there is a listing of car build date and corresponding shifter date code which I've added to and confirms this.
