My money manager is looking for something like this but the window sticker looks off to me. Thoughts?

There's some here who will chime in that know more than me. I'm not a fan of the looks of any of that paperwork, based on all the research I did to ultimately disprove authenticity of a claimed original tank sticker on another 427 car recently. If you're going to show everyone the paperwork, why not take a pic of the trim tag to confirm its a St. Louis body and see if the date stamp on there looks good for this early car. It IS a Corvette, so pics of some stamped partial VIN's would be nice to compare. 3.08 rear gear is unusual, I'd want to see the stamping on the rear differential, too. It all needs to tell you the same story.....

M-21 and 3.08s? Kind of a dog off the line.

The longer I look at that car the more red flags I see beyond the paper work.

I'd have the tank sheet verified by NCRS. Shifter looks like a C3? Should have ownership history to verify paperwork - if not, why? Price is too cheap for a real 427/400 convert if legit IMO.
Hopefully, TimG will chime in.

The font is not original. That is reproduction.

Tony,,, I would stay away from recommending this car to anyone......Bill S
It sounds like your money manager has backed off of this car. I’d like to add that NCRS does provide document validation for Corvette window stickers, tank stickers, shippers copies and build sheets. In the case of this car, there is a clear picture of both the window sticker and tank sticker, so a review of the document could be completed. Sometimes we get partial documents, but we always do what we can to validate a document if most of it is legible. I cringe every time a document comes in after a Corvette purchase and that document is deemed to be a fraud. This happens more often than we’d like to see. Spend the $100 for validation before you spend the $200,000 for the Corvette. In the case of an auction or a time sensitive purchase, we will do what we can to get a turn around ASAP.

Both the window sticker and tank sticker are reproductions.

THanks guys, much appreciated. He brought up this car as an example of the options he would be interested in, but he wasn’t necessarily looking to close a deal on this specific car.
You guys are awesome, as always.....
