Insane...has to be one of a handful ever made. Even has the scarce dashtop clock! I love it.

Pretty cool L36 and the only better would be an L72...also a Biscayne!
The ad reads pretty genuine but great build sheet comment Wilma and love to hear what Member Fsc66's thinks of it.:hmmm:
:beers:

---- Rare piece! I find it hard to believe that a car delivered to a dealer in Cleveland totally escaped the tin worm, even if the mileage is correct. Is it the height of the rear why the rear tires seem so small? If he did buy the car to tow his race car he probably had heavy duty rear sprigs installed......Bill S

It's rare all right but how desirable is it?.I like it a lot but kinda believe it's pretty well reached what it's worth unless 2 bidders who REALLY want it get involved!

Is the redline for a 390 horse 6000 RPM? That’s what it looks like to me. I figured the 390 horse was hydraulic lifters.

Cool car overall. Nice to see another big block full size car without power brakes! The tach should be 5500 red line. Also the air cleaner looks like a 396 air cleaner. The 427/390hp air cleaner had a wider opening at the end of the snorkel. From the ad it sounds like they had to scrounge up some original looking parts which would explain the air cleaner replacement. And get that dang Tonawanda sticker off the engine, they didn't use those until 1967!!

----Mark,,, Didn't know that 66 big-blocks didn't have T-stickers. Corvette certainly had them as I peeled mine off about a week after I bought mine in May of 66.......Bill S

Bill, Ok, that interesting! A good friend of mine who's a '66 Tech Advisor and a 35+ year GM employee told me that they were not in use until 1967. Maybe he was just referencing full size cars. Also it's possible since your car was a late '66 build the stickers could have been a late production year addition. I'll check with my buddy again.

Doc is good, 4 spd trans & tach is correct, came as a package with a big block and you'd get the dash mounted clock.

But a 6k redline on the tach ?

Should be 5500. Any reason you think it should be 6k Paul?

No, tach is wrong tach should be 5500 red line for 390 HP and 6000 for 425 HP, I wasn't asked about tach just paper work. Probably changed along the way.
There are issues with the restoration some of which have already been identified but pretty cool overall for a wagon.
