NMW Battery Box ??

Hi.
Did NMW make more than one style of battery box.
My friend has found one but does not know if it is a original or not?
This box is not bolted together but is welded together.
So did they have two versions one bolted one welded?

What year did they start making the boxes? I have 1970...71... and 73 catalogs and the

boxes are not in those years.
