Neat car for the money. I'd try to fix and blend the lower quarters....
Seriously, what does $23k buy these days?

LOL. Classic "hose it down with a garden hose to make the paint look shiny," trick.

How do the numbers match when the VIN is 8L332925 and the block picture shows xxxx332 on the pad?

Don't you get all technical on us Kurt. :) I will ask the seller....

Well, I'm guessing the trans vin stamp ends in 332 also! He does state "numbers matching engine, trans and 12 bolt". It just doesn't match the car!!

I'm not defending the matching numbers comment, but I think that block stamping reads xx3329xx. I'm not sure if I'm seeing the 8L prior to the 332, and the following 9 is barely legible. I'm guessing there's an even less legible 25 following that?

I think there are numbers under the paint after the 332

My thoughts exactly. It would be a heck of a coincidence to have those three numbers in sequence on an incorrect block.

The seller sent me a better pic of the pad with the paint removed...looks good.

I like it. I would never separate a matching car, but if it was NOM I'd lose the later steering wheel and ralleys in favor of big/little Cragars and swap in a Day 2 L88. The rear quarter rust would be covered by traction compound after heating the tires a few times. :3gears:

Nice little car bu I'm not sold on the pad stamp. Date stamp looks good but if you compare the aging of the date stamps with those of the VIN, the VIN numbers sure appear to be crisp and clean. Like they were stamped recently?

Is the trim tag 08A or 03A?
