Why not today? One the THE best engines ever made was the dual quad 427 side oiler. And the engine with the highest horsepower rating during the 1960s was the 427 dual quad SOHC: 630 HP!

427 has always been my favorite, Chevy or Ford.

Today also happens to be our 44th wedding anniversary. I celebrated by taking the mini-427 (aka 396) Post Sedan out for a spin :3gears:

Thanks Rick. Actually, I think she had a pretty good idea of what she was in for from the git-go.....here we are leaving the Church after the wedding ceremony in my 68 El Camino, open headers and all. Note highly optimistic drag strip breakout time painted on windshield by my friends :wink:

It took 8 months, but the zl1 was fired up for the first time today, going in the car tomorrow, it is a good day,!
