I have an early design 70 Chevelle SS cowl induction hood in good condition overall. It was taken down to bare metal and primed. There’s no rust at all but does have a couple of dings on it as well as a dent up front, all very repairable. It is just the bare hood, no flapper or accessories. Since I’m thinking of posting it for sale, what are they going for these days?

Was it in similar condition?

Yes it was a little better then yours with no major dents like yours show plus it had everything complete for Cowl Induction except for the large Vacuum pod.

2 years ago I sold a complete early hood(as in everything) that had 6 hail dents and one patch rust on the bottom where a mouse nest was for $600. He was the only guy to call, but I do live out in the middle of poverty stricken nowhere.
I should have kept it just to hang on the wall..

Around here, you can’t even get a complete newer style GM cowl induction hood for that price!

I've had one hanging on the wall for 35+ years. Back then I paid $100 for it, complete with both doors, solenoid, vacuum pod etc...
Had no idea these things bring crazy money like that now.
