This real triple black SS396 showed up in my driveway for sale, I am putting it out there for the owner. 60,600 miles, born as L35, M20, CF 3:31 Posi. Warranty block early 70s, now 3:73. 500 Miles on engine, trans and rear rebuild. All born with panels and floors except GM LF fender and bumper mid 70's, some paint is original as is vinyl top. Int. is original except carpet. Floor pans were painted black in the early 70s and are clean, not winter driven. Console was removed by second owner. Third owner since 1974, Original owner still has windows sticker. Warranty transferred POP in second owners name. Sold new at Schukei Chevrolet here in Waterloo, Iowa.
Asking $35K, open to offers.

Look at the vinyl top between the trunk lid and rear window, the seams are in the right spot :-)

Me too Rick! I've known it since almost new. There is a part of me that is screaming "Why the h**l am I letting this slip through my fingers!" But I would be spending a LOT of time under the hood bringing it up to true Day 2 snuff and I just don't need another project right now.

In answer to questions I am attaching more pix. The portion of the VT under the back glass was removed to repair window channel rust, and the VT trim removed to repair rust creeping from under trim. That is why the quarters were painted, this was all done more than 30 years ago. There is some lacquer crazing at the top of the quarters (see pic). The hood and trunk lid were painted because the black was rubbed thin. - Bill

That spare tire is worth a few bucks if it still has a lot of tread and is otherwise in good shape.
