Anyone here on the Hot Rod Power Tour this year? Been watching along on FB and it looks like there have been a lot more accidents and mishaps than in prior years, including some pretty serious looking incidents. Hope you're safe out there.

Tim Meredith had his blown '66 Nova SS at the SCR20 last summer. He is on Power Tour with it right now. This is the very last Power Tour.

They said they were having too much trouble finding towns that could hold everyone. It has got too big and they were over running the towns that they went through. At least that's what I've been told by some people that went on the tour last year.

I only got to go to Bowling Green due to illness. You may be right about it being the last one but they say that every year. I have been on seven long hauls and it is an absolute blast. If you all get a chance you will love it

I’m on the tour. I think there are over 2800 long haulers. I don’t see it ending anytime soon. They will just have to stick to huge racetracks etc to park at each city. The most fun is evenings around the hotels, going out to dinner with friends etc.

What's the story on the '72?

That is Brian Thomson's Chevelle. He builds my engines. Over 900 hp on pump gas and he drives it everywhere. I think he said he would take 100k for it. The engine alone is 40K and he just had the car repainted.

When will Hot Rod release the dates and cities for next years tour?

I guess all of that crap about this being the last year was just more fake news. Last year there were several people saying that this would be the last one, but I didn't see anything about it this year. So I guess it goes on.

They usually announce the next years route around SEMA in Nov. I think there were over 4000 long haulers this year. It keeps getting bigger and bigger so I don't see it ending anytime soon.
