I crack jokes constantly.. But to make jokes about the death of 2 people regardless the situation is douchebaggery.. Shit happens..

No joke intended. I just attended a wake for a 42 year old where people for the visitation were so distraught they were discussing joining the diseased.
Seriously, who in their right mind pulls a stunt like that after a funeral and kills his wife in the process and wrecks his 1968 Camaro? What does that say about the social fabric of our society?
If we observe behavior like that what are we going to do about it? Can we help and how?
These were the questions that I have when I see the story? But the personal attack in your post is partisan and really come on-- you guys banned me from the CRG over 4 years ago now and chased me off Team Camaro site over two years ago now
Why not give the bullying a rest for a change?

Bullying & personal attack..??.. Seriously.??. Look dude if you feel its bullying or a personal attack then so be it but I am just calling it like I see it. You getting banned from CRG & TC has nothing to do with me and sounds like you are the problem; does it not.?. I'm not tied to either site nor this one. Were you there at the funeral? Did you see it happen in person? Do you know these people? I am sure with the excellent reporting of this accident by the news crew then I am sure all the facts are accurate with the air bags not deploying and all.. If the answer to all of those questions is no then if I were you I would probably stfu.. I am sure you thought it would be humorous to make a joke about a "hole shot" or "ending it all" but it was in poor taste. And honestly not even funny.
And btw I am sorry to hear someone else lost their life at a young age.

No one bullying....just expressing their opinion in regards to your post..... if you want to know the truth about funerals .... where I come from if one of our car buddies passes away or family member that were really into cars we always have done burnouts in salute and honor to them. What happened was truly a tragic accident. My condolences to that family.

Excellent... often we view things through our own lens... I feel that a viewing is a solemn event. In this case the guy was reckless and killed his wife, or was it an emotional response to the situation we may never know but we can learn from it...perhaps spot the warning signs.
As to the remainder of the exchange-If we need to virtue signal “were you there” or “how do you know” or “ how dare you assume” then we either miss the point of open discussion in a forum environment or it is simply an excuse to grind old grievances. Either way referring to me as a “douchebag” is gonna get a reply. Think first then post.

Ok I'll play along..
Actually I never called you a douchebag personally but the comments made were of douchebaggery.. But feel free to think it. This is after all an open discussion of opinions. Again you are making assumptions of how the accident happened. I would have never said a word if your thread content would have been.. "What a tragic loss of life" or "Hate to see the couple and their Camaro meet their demise." Or better yet. Admit your thread title was stupid and I'll stop voicing my opinion of your comments.
Also "spot the warning signs" of an accident? Is this liberal speak? Just trying to understand your thought process..

If common sense was the norm then we would all be geniuses. It’s ok to admit poor choices of words. Hell I do it on a daily basis...my family tells me that

Now you are openly trolling me. There is no reply needed I am not jumping into the mud pit with you :)

Here is the wrap to the story which shows the car prior to the crash and better describes some of the emotional history which sadly includes a fairly recent homicide.

"accelerated all of a sudden..." I wonder if this may be another case of the infamous GM motor mount breaking causing the rod connected carb linkage to pull the carb open? 68 Camaro sure fits the time right. Maybe it didn't have the recall cable to upper A-arm tether in place. I see these at car shows once in awhile.

Cristo over at GM heritage recently described to me how an owner of a 1969 Caddy tried to sue GM over a defect that was identified in the early 1970s on a recall that caused a fire that destroyed the car and burned an occupant of the vehicle.
With the help of the researchers at Heritage the suit was dismissed by the judge when GM was able to prove the car was already modified with aftermarket stuff.
As crazy as it sounds this kind of claim has already been tried against GM in the past, but always where the responsible party survives the wreck and tries to blame anything or everything on anybody else.
If the driver in this accident would have lived and the wife did not then it’s a Vehicular manslaughter charge and after he goes to prison he is getting civilly sued by the wife’s family. That is just how it works these days.
