I have a 1969/1970 manual steering box for sale. The part number is 5679142, it was cast 121 (May 1st) and it was assembled A1899 (A 1st shift, July 8th of 1969).
This unit appears to be a very early take off and was probably replaced with a power steering box as it came in a GM power steering box. The GM box is even dated 7/7/69.
It turns freely but feels like the bearings are bad so it will need to be rebuilt. Other than that......it's almost NOS in my opinion.

I can bring this to the Super Car Reunion in July if needed.
