Wow! Sold quick.

Hugger orange original L78, mostly original paint with no rust for 40K. That was a deal.

Anyone know if it has the original L-78 it was born with?

Looks like it was a deal and unique is the paper holds up for dealer installed Z Stripes.

Seems like all the 70 L78's are green! :)

Looks like ebay is banning you from looking at the completed items if sold. Crappy rule IMO.

Condition:Used Year: 1970 VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): 124870N548508 Mileage: 56,000 Number of Cylinders: 8 Make: Chevrolet Transmission: Manual Model: Camaro

Body Type: Coupe Trim: SS Warranty: Vehicle does NOT have an existing warranty Engine: L78 396ci (402ci) 375hp Vehicle Title: Clear Drive Type: RWD Fuel Type: Gasoline For Sale By: Private Seller Exterior Color: Orange Disability Equipped: No Interior Color: Black
I bought this Camaro SS back in 1971, it had about 12K miles then. This car has been maintained, but never restored, it is a survivor. It still has the original spare in the trunk. And most of the paint is original. The smog equipment & stock exhaust manifolds were removed before I bought it.
Right now it has less than 56,000 original miles on it...for some reason eBay listing won't take that number...?
Hagerty lists value as $41,000 (plus 10% for 4 speed) just for a 'Good' car, up to $57,000 (plus 10% for 4 speed) for a excellent car. As a survivor mine is probably in the middle of these 2 values, but would not take much to make it excellent.

This is a original L78 Camaro, only 600 were made, and this engine was available for only this year, the 402ci 375hp version.

The Z stripes are dealer optioned and I have a copy of the original dealer sticker from the dealer to document this. (this is most likely the only L78 with dealer optioned stripes!)
It has been converted to electronic ignition, but I have the original distributor. I have a couple of the original rally wheels (and a spare set), the original clutch fan (I have a solid plastic on it now)
And I have the stainless rocker panel covers for it, they were removed to check for any rust, and I just never mounted them again. This car has never had any rust other than surface rust, which was then fixed & repainted.
Due to health issues I can not take care of this car the way it deserves, so I am looking for a new home for it.

Only z28's could get the copo rear spoiler.
Don't see it on the dealer paperwork so possibly added.

There is a block you can check on the search page for completed items. I found it after the sale.

That was the buy of the year.

Car was originally D-80 then the later spoiler was installed years later. I would have liked to have it as a book end for my 70 but when the car was discussed with sale potential I was already knee deep in the last Norwood car resto.

Very cool car. All the best to the new owner.
