Can't say I have ever seen one of these with a 3-on-the-tree. Pretty cool.

Pretty cool also 3/Tree production @ 545 surprising if true.
Note the ad reads 51,000 miles but Odo @ 81,000...seller forgot to add the 30,000 mile he added?:hmmm:
:beers:

Biggest engine compartment Chevrolet ever made up to this year.
Make it a small block w/o AC,& you've really got yourself some breathing room! :burnout:

They had 3 spd manual on column in 1971 and 1972 Monte Carlos as well. 1971 was the rarest at only 280 cars and production ramped back up in 1972 with 342 cars. I have seen 2 over the years (one 1970 in the junk yard upside down) I snagged the pedal assembly out of that car. 3 speeds were rarer than the quite rare 4 speed Monte Carlos offered in 1970 and 1971, no 4 speed Montes offered in 1972. No 4 speeds offered in SS Monte Carlos in 70 and 71 which seems odd considering you could get a 402 with a 4spd but not the LS5.
3 speed Manual
1970-545
1971-280
1972-342
4 speed Manual
1970- 1,428 Total (w 350 and 400 SBC (839) with 402 bbc (589)
1971- 349 Total (w 350 engine (269) , with 402 bbc (80)
1972- None

Relisted with a $12,500 buy it now price. Seems a little ambitious given the front end damage...think the pristine '71 3-speed stick Monte is a better deal for a few grand more.

Now things are getting interesting! Price has been lowered to a $7000 buy-it-now in the link below. If I still lived in CA it would be tempting to buy this one for a daily driver.
Look at all the room in that engine bay.
