Unbelievable original condition 1963 Impala, 327/300hp, 4 speed, 3:73 posi, 26K original miles. Still has the factory applied lacquer paint from 1963 and you can look until your eyes ache and you won't find even a trace of lacquer checking. This car was stored in a garage all its life and the garage windows were covered so it wouldn't fade the seats. The original owner told me that he wouldn't drive it to work because it would have sat in the sun all day. He also told me that it was only driven in the rain one time in its life. The interior is all original even the carpet. During the time I have owned it we freshened the engine bay and the under side only from the front of the car to the firewall. The remaining undercarriage is the original undercoated floors. It has new show car exhaust with proper 2.5" head pipes, new gas tank, 5 new silver town 8:00x14 tires and I added the 3:73 posi rear. All the chrome and stainless is the original and has never been plated or polished, the phosphate plating on the hood latch and hinges is the original plating, the paint and stencil on the air cleaner is the factory applied. The trunk is original paint but the second owner replaced the trunk mats with aftermarket ones. If you are looking for one of the best original paint 63 Impalas I think you have found it and its red/red to boot. $47,500 if interested call 217-620-3405

I showed this car at the Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green Ky and as a result we were invited to display the car in the show case at the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis this fall.

Thanks guys. The car runs and drives just as good as it looks also. The shifter shifts as smooth as if it was new.

I wish I had this in the garage next to my 63 327/340 split window. Can't imagine a nicer big car than this one.

This car is still available. I have the car priced only slightly over my investment, but I am willing to take a little bit of a hit on the car if someone is looking for a real time capsule at $44,000.

I love this car and it is an A1 candidate to be transformed into a clone of this . . .

Thanks Greg, I know I am probably a little bias but if there is a better unrestored example out there I have never seen it with the one exception of the red 63 that sold from the Nebraska auction 3 or 4 yrs ago for 100K or something like that.

I thought I would try the ebay auction for this car. I don't really expect to sell directly thru the ad but I thought it might be good exposure and sell later as a result. It hasn't hit the reserve but I am pleased that the bids are respectable.

I will get it for you Verne, I just haven't taken one for you yet because I have been busy trying to finish reassembling my 61 Catalina Bubbletop after doing a restoration on it. Its not going nearly as well as it would if it were a Chevrolet because I just am not that familiar with Pontiacs details. It would have helped if I had been the person that disassembled it but I bought it as a project that multiple owners with good intentions had disassembled over several years. On the positive side it is close to being ready to fire up and then to the upholstery shop for a correct SMS interior.
