… Ok guys, A few months ago I started to come out of the Cave

… and get with it and I upgraded from a Flip Phone to a Smart Phone.
( android )

… I have learned that it take great photos and I am slowly learning

… how to send or post photos.

… Is there and easy way to insert photos into a thread that the photos come out real clear ?

… I think I have to download them to some online website first to make them come out clear.

… Is there a way to download them directly from
my Smart Phone ( android )?

… Thanks in advance for all your help :youguysrock:

I had a flip phone forever. Finally died and I got a smart phone.

I hate it. I am not smart enough to answer your question.

I am very happy for all of the fellas that chimed in about their smart phone experiences, but I think John still has a question ;>) !! Congrats John and welcome to the 21st Century. Download an app such as "Image Size"(its free). It allows you to down-size your phone's photos and you can set the length and width parameters to what is acceptable to this web site. Then if you access sYc site from your phone, your newly sized photos can be uploaded to this site. Play around with it and you'll figure it out. Good luck!!!!!!

Luddite here with a wired phone.

You wanna get me, call and leave a message on my old fashioned answering machine. Even if I'm home, I always screen messages.

To hell with telemarketers.

I have never owned a flip phone or a smart phone and don't intend on ever owning one. I get by just fine with my land line phone, caller ID, and an answering machine. I know I am one very rare dude and definitely behind the times, but I figure I save a lot of money this way.

I pay $54 a month (tax included) for two flip phones, one with unlimited texting (my son's phone - texting model) through Verizon. 1000 minutes per month for the two phones which we never exceed. No contract. No land line phone. Haven't had one of those for 15 years.

Wouldn't think of getting in a car without a phone.

If they made a phone a 1/3 of the size that just did phone, I would buy it. I normally leave mine in the car when I'm out.

I have an Android and it's real easy to post pictures to The Forum. You need to download an app called reduce photo size. Then when you have a picture you want to post, you need to look at the picture and share it to that app. The picture shows up in the app you want to resize it and I usually use like 800 by 600, and then save it. When you go to post a picture you can find it in your documents and click on it and upload it. It's really easy

I had a flip phone for a short while about 15 years ago but stopped using it as I didn't like being so available.
I held out as long as I could but finally gave in just 6-mos ago but only because it's becoming so necessary to function 'normally' in today's world.
One reason was Airport pickups, no need to pay-park and just coordinate pickup location by text/calls...same w/ meeting friends/family @ concerts/sporting events/out on the town etc.
Possible car troubles was another reason being nobody besides bandits are going to stop if you're @ the side of the Hiway also who picks up kooks thumbing rides anymore, especially @ night!
So, I got a used I-phone on Kijiji and do a $15/mo. pay as you go deal from Ted Rogers, it does all I want and more plus the camera thing is pretty handy!
What I don't like is the size and slipperiness so I've been thinking of livening up the old flip job again which fits so nicely in a pocket also still offers all I need.
:beers:

I’m pretty sure I can answer your question, but I’ll have to ask my phone first!?
