Neat car. Doesn't sound like it has the original engine though (or at least if it does, the seller doesn't mention it). Also tough to prove a '69 SS427 without docs.....

This one will be easy to debunk as it's Canadian built....Doc's are available!

isnt engine codes on the trim tag for canadian cars? it isnt dead proof..but goes in the right direction towards some decoding..

In '69 I've only found the trans. not the engine RPO.......In '67 they included both.
Have to look on my '66 to see.....

i see..my 68 beaumont has the engine, trans and a few other codes on the trim tag...

If ours had been a loaded up SS427 4 speed, we'd still have it!
