I have a real 1969 'LE' code 427 that I bought as a package deal with a first-gen Camaro. I had planned to swap it into the Camaro but decided to leave the original 327 in that car instead. Complete carb to pan.

This is a 0.030" over 335hp 427, completely rebuilt with zero miles. The short block was built in 1988 at Holbrook in Livonia, MI, and the heads were done at the same time at Booth-Arons in Berkeley (both excellent machine shops). Nothing too radical, just a mild Isky cam and Edelbrock aluminum intake (still has original Quadrajet).

The engine has been sitting in a garage since it was built and I would suggest at least pulling the heads and pan and inspecting it, and replacing the gaskets at the very least. 30 years is a heck of a long time for an engine to sit.

I think $3000 is fair for the whole deal. Pickup only in the Detroit suburbs.

Happy to get date codes, etc for anyone interested.

Man, what can I build around another 427? Especially one from you! The two that I have from you are excellent engines!

You can never have too many 427s sitting around for a rainy day, Tony....

Maybe it’s a Tony thing? ;)

OK, I found a bunch of the original receipts for the build, from the late 1980s. I can provide those to anyone interested.

Also comes with a COMPLETE 1969 Impala front accessory drive including alternator, PS pump, and all brackets and pulleys. I bought it completely assembled and it will go that way.

427 is still available and would make a great winter engine swap for that anemic stocker in the garage!

It's only a couple months from the cruising season in the upper Midwest...plenty of time to swap this mill into your car.
