I'm guessing this might have been an export build with the strange trim tag. Guessing it is/was a Z since all the deep groove pulleys are there including alternator.
Great look with the ancient side pipes and VE3 front bumper.
Originally Burnished Brown, too...good color.

I don't believe it is an export car. The tag is a poor stamping for some reason but the certification verbiage is there. It would be the first Van Nuys built export car I am aware of.
Maybe a Z/28, maybe not. With the complete repaint, anything could have been done. The 3.08 [maybe meant 3.07] axle is possible but very unusual in a Z/28. A tach was not yet mandatory when it was ordered so could have been built without.
Might make a nice hot rod.

Haven't seen one of those old Dayco outside mass v belts in a long time, neat car.

5 leaf rear springs. Gas tank looks to have been there forever so I would be looking for a build sheet.

I had a LA-built '69 Z back in the '70s, knew the original owner and had pics of it brand new. It had 5 leaf rear springs. Never say never with an LA car.

I think there's a lot of dust and grime on the TT and the seller wiped off part of it to show the build details more clearly.

Love the 'Cuda console and 2nd Gen Z28 shifter...."I built it one piece at a time and it didn't cost me a dime..." :)
