I just picked up a 69 Pace Car Camaro today but I only have one picture at this time because I haven't even unloaded the truck and trailer. I bought the car from the second owner who has owned the car since 1972. He drove the car through college and then retired it to only an occasional weekend in the late 70s through 1993 when he totally disassembled it for a frame off rotisserie restoration but unfortunately the man that was to do the body and paint passed away leaving the project in pieces before even starting. The owner then in 1994 placed the car in a storage bay before moving out of state and he hadn't even seen it since that time. Advance forward to this date and myself and his brother unloaded the storage bay to my truck and trailer today.
Enough of the history; the car shows 42,000 miles, originally a 396, 4 speed, tach and gauges, endura bumper, totally disassembled, motor and trans is long gone, power top. The dash top has rust where it meets the windshield but comes with a new dash top. The cars floors are very good but there is a spot about 4x4 in the drivers floor and the trunk sump that needs a repair patch. There is no way you would replace the trunk or floor pans. Quarters and fenders need replaced but it come with new GM quarters. The original rally wheels are present. It does appear that all the parts are there from the car but as to be expected you will need all the trim parts to do the restoration it deserves. All the numbers and tags are still in place. I will unload and add pictures next week.
$19,700

Great find!
A couple of questions for you to compare against my 04C L78 Pace Car and 2 other 03B L78 Pace cars that I am familiar with
Build Date?
What is red line on the tach?
What were the dates on the wheels?
What rear ratio was in the car?
Thank you
Fred
