Can anyone suggest where you have had good luck buying good quality ratchet tie downs? I am looking for a complete set of 4 with hooks, axle straps and sleeves but am only finding 2" wide and have always used the 3" wide straps. 2" just doesn't seem strong enough for me even though they are rated at 3000 lbs. Thoughts?

I will contact a friend of mine. He has put me together with two sets.

He said he will after the first of the year.

Here is the web page for Snapping Turtle tie downs

I don't know that I have ever seen 3" straps.

I was wrong. Our one trailer was not here in the shop and was going by memory. They are in fact 2".

I was looking at Mac's products today on the net and was impressed.

I've been using MACs for years. Been to their factory in Idaho. Quality equipment at fair prices and Made in the USA.

X-2 on Mac's. I too purchased 2 sets at a Bloomington Gold event years back and have great service with them.

i had a set of MACs and i finally just wore them out..i mean thread bare, beat up handles bent hooks every thing...i finally pulled them apart one by one...i kept them for re webbing...they lasted 14 hard hard years....i pull a lot of cars and equip..so well worth the investment

i have some of these now..100% impressed...i love THE HANDLES..comfortable and easy they are long and have leverage...Id prob buy MACS again..but these are really close...for me the handle is everything now...you can get your whole hand thur them..others your fingers hit mechanism and are hard to ratchet
