I've been around these old cars almost all of my life, so I know most of the terms used when talking about them. Lately I've been hearing a term that I just can't figure out. What does "mid year" Corvette mean? It's doesn't make any since to me.

C2 'vettes - '63 thru '67, hence mid years of the 1960's.

Freddie...I know I used that term in a different post and when I first heard it, like you, I had no idea...woulda made more sense if they said "mid-decade". But Mockingbird is correct in that it refers to '63-'67.

It’s not a new term per se, been around a while.

There is another definition for the moniker, "mid-year:"
Supposedly the term did not appear until after the 1968s were released. When that happened you had three body styles: 53-62, 63-67 and 68+
