I’ve been helping my cousin find a nice dependable convertible in presentable and driver condition. This 1967 Camaro rs convertible crossed my path and I’d sure appreciate feedback based on your knowledge and keen observations.
The car is equipped with the original 327 (210 hp), powerglide, manual top and of course the rally sport option. The car supposedly wears original paint except the doors and one quarter panel have been repainted. The pinstripes look correct, but the paint looks very good for original... too good? There’s some rust at the bottom of the passenger fender and the bottom of the driver’s quarter is bubbling (looks to me like a previous repair?).
Interior is original, top has been replaced once before and needs a new top.
I’ll post a bunch of photos... bring on the critique!

I don’t mind a little but if rust on the fender. Looks manageable for a spot repair.
The bubbling on the quarter, however, looks concerning.

Interior has some wear and tear, but still very presentable.

Overall the car is very presentable. Could that be mostly original paint???

He’s asking $25k. Previously a PA car.

Just got these photos showing an awful previous “repair” to the bottom of the driver’s quarter. Inside of the quarter, the trunk and the trunk drop-off all look ok to me... but the quarter skin would need a proper repair. Who knows how localized or extensive the previous repair was?

Passenger side looks a little better... but I suspect there’s a repair lurking underneath.

I'd say that's a tad high for what it is, but with verts you never know. Seems like any one can bring decent money. I'd sure like it better at 18-20k.

Floors look nice and I like seeing the orig. canister oil filter. The big thing is the rust in the 1/4 but if it's just going to be a fun car who really cares. Offer 23K Spend a little fixing it up and enjoy it.

Sorry for the upside down photos... I had them all turned right side up but ???
What attracted me to this car was, of course, the fact that it is supposedly wearing a decent amount of original paint. The trunk looks fantastic, as do the drop offs, so its hard to tell how much of the quarter was repaired and repainted. If the rust had started to go around the wheel lip before being covered up, that's my concern. A localized repair at the bottom of the quarters would be very manageable.

Agree with Charley, looks like a lot of fun for around $20k
