Engine compartment looks very much untouched. Also appears to have original shifter, which is a rarity.

McCune, the VIN you posted is of a different car.....looks very similar, but definitely two different VINs.

The original owners name was Alf, and lived in Binghamton, NY. I know his son sold the car to someone in Fla, and it was at a dealer in Pa, and Jeff Boone laid eyes on it.

Yes I did look at the car for someone else, the car is located 35 min from me. If anyone has any questions, send me a PM

Cool car. Sinister in black - love the no console too! 6K red line - still solid lifters in ‘73? Thanks for posting Tony “the cool car posting animal” Nausiedo!

Last year for the lt1 was 72 in the Z. 73 & 74 were L82's

Thanks Steve. So is 6K redline correct for this ‘73? Seems a tad high for Hyd lifters.

It is a cool car. Couldn't have been too many ordered in black that year.

----I bought a 73 black RS Z from the original owner sometime around 75. He was told by his dealer that he could not order a black 73 so he ordered a dark green one and had it painted black before picking it up brand new. He really wanted a black Z!...….Bill S

73 Z28 L82 will run 6K RPM all day. L82 is a Corvette engine, the Z28 never got the L designation and was referred to "Special Z28 engine". Same with the LT1

Sold for 22100. I didnt bid enough. Got a little concerned getting it hauled across country

I seriously doubt that it sold for $22100. I looked at it back in the spring at the dealer in PA. He wouldn’t take less than $35k. It was at a dealer named Jackson Auto Sales. I could be wrong of course, but just seems odd .

I just looked, it’s still on the Jackson Auto Sales site in Pennsylvania for $35900. Looks like car is still there.

I agree It seems odd someone who presumably recently purchased would sell it for 13k less. Thanks for the update...

That is weird when the ebay auction had it in Palo Alto California. Jackson has the same pictures as the ebay ad

I don't think it has snowed in Palo Alto since the 60s so those pics are in PA I guess.

Nothing I can't stand more than a black spray bomb of the underside over surface rust and grease.
