Relatively rare car but I remember a few of them around the Milwaukee area in the 1990s.
This one is pretty clean.

Nice looking car, but that steering wheel's gotta go.
I don't like the Partridge family stripes.

I don't like the Partridge family stripes.
GM was already acknowledging the upcoming Bicentennial with added stripes across the brand line up. As an example check out the 1974 Spirit of America Nova for instance...while the family Partridge may not be your favorite, well-- I get that 100%.

We had a '74 Impala that was dark blue with a white top and red pin stripes. I think it had spirit of America badges, or something like that.

Chevy had a whole line of 'Spirit of America" cars (or something like that) back then. Vegas, Novas, Impalas I believe

Yes, and all of the ones I remember were white with red and blue accents.

Several years ago my father had an extremely nice Survivor '74 GTO. I've been a fan of them ever since despite the hatred they seem to get from many people. Always thought a "what if" version with a SD 455 would be an awesome car.

I think the hatred comes mainly from the die-hard GTO fans....they feel the same about them as they do about the 2000-era GTOs. Anything that's not a LeMans-based GTO is just a poser.
