What is a solid 4K code RS SS driver worth?
Has low miles.
Original metal and no rot. Extremely clean body and chassis. Never cut up, not a race car.
Original drivetrain, but missing, heads, intake, carb and distributor
No documentation other than 4 k tag, engine and good history back to 1980s.
Vinyl top car, STD , interior, tach, gauges, posi.
Car can be used as is, but really needs to come apart and be restored.

Whoa... you’re pushing all the right buttons! What color?

Is there a bad color for one of these? That’s about all I’d like to post as far as info about the car.

If it is black and spent time in Buffalo and Georgia...check the engine stamp carefully...

This L78 is a known car, just out of the public eye.

Nice car and good to hear that the original block was reunited with the car! Bill offered it to me last month and it was tempting...

Kurt Sonen found the original engine on eBay and reunited it with the Long Term Owner of the car.
LA built car sold new at the same Chicago land/Evanston Illinois Dealer as Jim Pearse's NicKey Camaro. Second owner in 1970 pulled the original L78 and had a local shop / American Performance install a 427ci engine. Second owner also installed a cowl hood, front and rear spoilers.

Bill’s note to me says that it has an LS6 in it now...

No such special paint indication on the trim tag.
Gorgeous car BTW! Don’t know why you didn’t include these photos when you were seeking interested parties?

I wasn't seeking interested parties in my original post, I was seeking opinions on values.

My opinion on value without inspecting the car and solely based on the description provided would be $55-60K....Nice Car!!

The owner wanted $65k for it. I would have put it at $55k based on what it would cost to get the original motor back together and in the car. Very cool car though!
