Love the untouched and dusty look of this one. Great truck to clean up and cruise.

It’s a shame that these early elky’s didn’t receive the big block hood... but that kinda makes this one special that nobody has put one on it.

Do my eyes deceive me, or are those black and white photos?

A friend has a 66 375 EL and it has the same air-shock guard plates on the rear axle.

Cool I wish I had the room for it.

Is that the heavy duty radiator? I think I saw something about this lately. The standard radiator had the finger guard with no shroud and the heavy duty radiator had no guard but did have the shroud. This was optional on the '66 L78 but standard on the '67 L78. Is this correct? Maybe it was optional for other 396s as well?

I'd sure like to hear more about that rare car... er, truck!

The HARRISON RADIATOR discussion can get very confusing for sure. This is a BF ( Fremont Assembly Plant ) truck. Which means it came with SMOG (K-19) originally. Which means it got a shroud. All Smog 66's would receive the shroud.

If this truck retains its original Harrison Radiator, it should because of the above also be a version of the HD 4 row Harrison Radiator aka as Hen's Teeth these days :)

There's more to the entire Finger Guard vs Shroud vs HD Rads story but I'm too slow a typer
