Well, we're just about six months out, so figured this would be a good time to start a thread on the 2019 Camaro Nationals..

The 21th annual Camaro Nationals will be held June 21st and 22nd in Frederick, Maryland. Sponsored and managed by the American Camaro Association, the show brings together all six generations for a weekend of friends and Camaro-raderie. Frederick, MD has a lot to offer from a great historic district to a wide variety of shops, boutiques and entertainment with easy interstate access, plenty of reasonably priced hotels and a wide variety eating establishments.

While the Camaro Nationals brings together and welcomes all generations of Camaros with 49 different judging classes, the ACA also provides the highest level of nationally recognized judging programs for “factory-correct” restorations:

Bowtie: 1,000 point judging process for 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen Camaros

Legends Restored: 5,000 point judging process for 1st and 2nd gen Camaros. (3 Hour judging process).

Using a 5,000 point scale provides a high degree of granularity to reflect how the vehicle left the factory. All Legends level entries are judged on a 4-post lift for close inspection of the underside and undercarriage. An experienced and seasoned team of judges, each with specific knowledge and expertise, are assigned to each vehicle. We strive to maintain a high level of integrity, fairness and consistency whether it scores a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum levels.

All vehicles for Legends and Bowtie judging are parked and conducted in a secure air-conditioned building for the 2-day event. The Frederick Fairgrounds also boasts three additional display buildings in addition to a large grass show field with paved walkways and ample parking for trailers.

This is a great location with first class people and the best Legends and BowTie judging on the “PLANET” This is the only concourse legends judging that uses a lift for judging of restored cars.

There are still a few spots open for Special Display Camaros inside. Think the registration fee for the special display is the base fee. So you get to put your car inside with the Legends and Bow Tie cars - Air conditioned

I have always wanted to go to this, but I do not have a trailer and staying at a hotel would probably means my car would not be there in the morning :( 3 hrs trip down spend the day in the Heartbeat stock class, then 3 hrs back. Tough trip when both the car and myself are old! :D

I feel your pain Kevin...I open trailered for a few years until I was able to purchase my enclosed trailer. I do not know you, but I would be willing to offer you my enclosed trailer for night storage of your car, since my car will be living in one of the buildings Thurs through Sat. and my trailer will remain at the fairgrounds, secured and empty. If interested, send me a PM and we'll exchange contact info.

I've seen quite a few of the U-haul car trailers on the road. But this could be an option. Don't know the fees for this.

For those who like 2nd gens, There is going to be a few nice and rare 1970s there, Three 1970 z28 camaros and one very nice 1970 SS396 L78. Maybe more.

Yup, as mentioned, Building 9 is full with some really great cars, including:

17 cars are registered for either Bowtie or Legends judging with six 1st Gens and two 2nd Gens for Legends Restored and Seven 1st Gens and two 3rd Gens for Bowtie.

In addition, there will be a host of very cool 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gens on display in Building 9...including my own 70 Z28 project rolling body shell fresh from paint in all its' naked glory, a 67 Yenko, a '69 Z28 prototype, a '69 Pace Car...and may more significant Camaros covering 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations. Definitely a solid lifter mecca of both small and big block varieties. In all, Building 9 will be filled with 34 of the coolest, rarest, and nicest Camaros in existence.

Hope you find a spare room / bed, but if not, there are a lot of hotels on the south end of Frederick near the host hotel.
