Just curious if anyone has any knowledge of the 69 Z that is on CL right now out of San Diego? Its a Lemans blue car. Seller states full resto done with upgrades such as Z22 R/S grill and D80 spoiler .. If anyone has any good or bad info feel free to e mail me here or in my e mail @ [email protected] ... I have a friend who is interested and i'm just trying to see if it is a known car ...

Thank you

Great looking car for the money, and has a ton going for it. Not over restored IMO, has some great parts on it including smog, exhaust, reverse lockout, functional cowl, clean dry floors, great interior and fantastic color. Best part is a reasonable price.

That's gonna sell fast!

Great looking Z but I may be partial to Lemans blue :) I'd put the vinyl top and black stripes back on, as original. The ones I seen look great and its not a common color combo.

Only a minor thing but the leaf springs do not appear to be original. A good set of repros are about $400.

Correct. Hence the reasonable price.

.Leaf springs are replacements and I agree, they should have left the V- top with black stripes on the car.

The car had underwent somewhat of restoration .. The paint was done quite a while ago. The current owner did the interior and also found a "correct block" The motor is NOT the original but the transmission and rear are. The car presents well but the paint has issues. It was an original black stripe and v top car. There are some visible heavy prep scratches under the paint. I don't the car was ever sealed, possibly just primer. The downfall is the paint. The car and the ad both are pretty honest as far as what it is. I was merely looking for feedback to see if it was a known car or not and what good and bad things were known. The current owner has a really neat all original 70 Z with original paint .. The car sat outside for a while and shows its age. All of the black EDP coating is gone under the hood. It runs and drives like a gem though.. Neat car for sure .... Thank you guys for the interest and information

If it is the one I am thinking of I looked at the car years ago when it was advertised on Team Camaro. I remember the 70 Camaro Z/28 in the garage. The block came from Mike Kaiser in Arizona and I think the motor was built local. I remember there was no snap like it had low compression pistons and there might of been other changes from stock. I was hot for a 69 Z/28 with deluxe interior at the time and I tried to like the car. When I looked at it back then it was for allot less money and I still passed. You need to look at the car in person because at this price point there are so many nice 1969 Z/28s out there.

You are right on the money .. The gentleman looking at the car is willing to buy in this price range and the cons of this car did not dissuade him.. The ball is now is the buyers court .. i resented him with all of the info as well as what the seller told him.
