The optimum size for this site seems to be 1280x960. Here is how I resize photos that are much larger using the app PAINT.

1959 Chevrolet Corvette Scaglietti
The photos original size is 4096×2731 - much too big for this site. I am going to resize it as close to 1280x960 as I can.
Open PAINT
BLUE File button on upper left and click once then click on OPEN as shown on the below photo:

Then choose the photo you wish to resize. In this case I will choose 777.JPEG. This loads the photo into PAINT

You want the command that is located inside the RED box (RESIZE). That is what will allow a photo to be resized.

When you click on resize the above is what you will see. Click on the top 100 and backspace to clear it - will look like this if done correctly:

Then type in the resize reduction which is a %. Best to guess where result which is shown on the bottom of the app is larger than the desired 1280x960.

Initially I used 44% which gives a total size of 1803x1202 which is too big. Need to reduce further.

Through trial and error I kept reducing the size until I hit my desired size which in this case is 1281x855. Once you get to the desired size just go back to that Blue file button, click then hit SAVE.
Now you can use your photo embedding app to paste your photos on this site.
