No solid lifter z28 was available with A/C. The first year the Z28 was available was 1973 with the L82 engine. As was noted only solid lifter corvette in 65 and 72 were the only exceptions

Yea Bill can you believe that... I thought it had to have been a ZR1.
There is a Dark Blue 2 top - 72 LT1 Air Roadster for sale which has tired original paint in WI for 50k or something like that.

Owner was a friend of a friend......he had to be doing the happy dance after that sale.
There was another one at B-J, identical except no a/c, and it had <3000 miles on it, with lots of awards. Sold for ~$120K.

There was also a yellow 72 LT-1 vette with AC that was up for auction at Russo Steele this weekend.
I believe it went across Saturday and was a no sale. I looked at the car today, and was very nice.
Edit: Here ya go see if this link works

I've seen 2 '66 Novas that were claimed to be factory air L79 . One was at a local car show and the other was in Muscle Car Review. Any chance these were real, or just confused owners?

I’m not sure if a 66 Nova L79 could be had with A/C. A L79 has a hydraulic cam though.

The ad should have shown a pic of the tachometer. I had a 72 LT-1 coupe with ac. The tach redline is specific to 72 LT-1 ac cars.

AFAIK - it was a factory option though very rare. The engine suffix would be ZJ
