1 of 80 convertibles with that interior. Interesting.

Certainly a vague ad regarding it's authenticity or pedigree. 512 block and 6500 redline tach :hmmm:

A high end SS Chevelle HAS to have a resonator exhaust system. The wiper motor also has the wrong style washer pump cover . Looks like an older restoration, not sharp in the photos. Parts store horns too.

I totally had put this car in the category of a nice clone car,...tribute car , whatever you want to call it ,..but when there is ZERO mention of documentation, ZERO mention of cars history , and ZERO mention of Original drivetrain ,... pics of VIN stamp....
It’s always buyer beware,....but Mecum ,I totally agree with you , could do a better job on this car’s description for sure

As with any collector car, do your homework and hire a professional to authenticate the car. If anyone knows the VIN I will check my registry but am pretty sure I do not have any with the 765 interior.

All it is called in the description is a 70 Chevelle convert. No SS mention at all. He then lists the LS6 etc. I would never even begin to think they were representing it as a factory LS6. Would be clearer for the novice I guess if he said clone or tribute.

To your point Charley, yes they don't make any claims of originality or pedigree, except they do list it as an 454-450 hp(LS6) convertible, which with nothing to back it up is misleading to some, but obvious to others.

If you are looking for a very real highly documented blue 4-speed LS6 convertible, a friend of mine has one for sale.
