That's a great car. My '72 SS454 Chevelle had a similar air conditioner when I got it. I quickly took it off because the compressor was so ugly, and who needs air conditioning on a muscle car anyway.

Funny thing... a guy nicknamed Spoolie owned that El Camino. Last I read he was still alive. And that scene was shot in...Tennessee where this car is from. Weird.
That is quite coincidental,but the ELco in the movie doesn't have a working flapper hood like the subject ELco.
