Unfortunately, much more information is needed to give you a qualified guestimate. Color, transmission, rear end gears, paperwork, history, seat type, instruments, options, condition of body, hood type (beit cowl or non cowl), quality and correct reproduction tires or generic tires, etc, etc.

These all very much come into play when valuing these cars. Not trying to be difficult, just trying to explain so that others can give you an fairly accurate estimate. I am going to go out on a limb and generically say $45k based solely on the basic information given.

Without pictures or color I am staying at my $45k estimate. The paperwork or lack thereof is the killer. Original drivetrain will certainly help bring it up. Being that it was raced that may not be the case. Any idea who the "expert" was that inspected it?

What self respecting LS6 owner didn't drag race their car in the day. I wouldn't count that as much of a negative. In fact, it may be somewhat of a plus given that the original drivetrain has survived.

Partial repaint means partial original paint! The glass is half full to me. Again, what muscle car hasn't had a little body work in 48 years?

No paperwork is a negative, but original undisturbed drivetrain and other key items may partially offset that.

If it's a driver with little to no rust, I'm interested enough to throw my hat in the ring... whether its Cranberry Red, Autumn Gold or Green Mist!

Figure 800-1000 hrs at 100-120 an hour labor plus parts and deduct that from what a frame off car goes for.
