1970-72 Z28 air cleaner

6485241 CU vs 6485887 CR. I see both numbers stated as being correct. Are they for different years? Is one early and one late for a given year. Thanks.

CU 6485241 is correct for 70-72 Z28.

I believe the 6485241 CU is the only correct one for the 70-72 Z28 as the base has the bumps in it to clear the holley bowl needle and seat adjustment screw. The 6485887 CR air cleaner does not have these bumps and was used only on quadrajet carbs for the Corvette and '73 Z28.

That's what I thought. Yet, so many refer to the 6485887 Corvette assembly as being correct for the Z28. Thank you guys.
