Beautiful car that has had an extensive restoration despite having low miles.
I'd still prefer a '70, but the '74s are growing on me.

Do you know what the break point for the emblem change from the script style to that style is?
My 12B came with script style LT emblems, points, muncie, ball shift knob and does not have the air cleaner hole in the pass fender.

I did not know 74 Camaro Z-28 cars had Muncie transmissions. I thought for sure they had the Saginaw cast iron trans. My 72 Nova SS came with a Saginaw trans. Nice car, but 70 1/2 Z-28 would be my choice.

I don't think there was a break point for LT emblems. All 1974 models came with the one year script emblem. The emblems on the auction car is 75-76 Camaro.
Its also missing the rear LT trim. Being that it looks to be totally restored Im skeptical the miles are really that low. Wheels have been repainted, trim rings look like the brushed finish which is not correct. Wheel caps look to be repop also. Looks like most verything has been replaced or repainted. Makes you wonder. 74z's came with M21 Muncie and the later ones got the Borg Warner T-10. Its a late 07B car so it should have BW T10. For $39,900 I would expect a unmolested car and that's a stretch at that price.

Also the build sheet shows side moldings and no stripes. So this car should only have fender emblems.
MacNeishes report says brake booster is painted and isn't original. Master cylinder and Waterpump are NAPA replacements.
Fuel tank straps should be black. Red Oxide primer was repainted during resto. That's a lot of replacing on a 28,000 mile car.

Nope, they had Muncies. I sold a 74 Muncie M21 that came out of a Camaro years ago.

My first car was a 76 Sport Coupe with 305. Eventually became 400 small block and then 402 big block. When I repainted it IROC Firemist (the red that had the gold pearl in it) and painted the aluminum bumpers body color it really cleaned up the lines of the car. That's the way the 77 Z's were done and I really like that look over the natural aluminum bumpers.
