This is a pair of Motor Wheel Co magnesium front runner wheels. These wheels were known as Fly wheels or Flies. They are for 15 inch tires and are about 4 inches wide(Maybe be narrower, I will measure on Monday). The bolt pattern is 5 on 4 3/4 inches. I personally have never seen another one of these wheels in person. Kind of an urban legend. These wheels are in great shape and will shine like chrome with a polish.

$1750 for the pair.

Thanks,

Jason

Those are actually made in the late 70s with the red foam in the middle. They weren"t the easiest to get both halves lined up so they used the foam to center the wheels up. There used to be a good write up on these on the net. Cool pieces! I have a few. GLWS

Thanks for the info. From what I read on The HAMB, Motor Wheel stopped making racing wheels in 1974. The “foam” was a fair early addition and came in green and red. It actually feel more like a rubber and from what I read it was to make the wheels stronger. I was told these were being used on a 1969 Chevelle in 1970 or 1971 but we know how memories and years go.

Thanks again,

Jason

Maybe I missed the mark on these. I'll do $1600 before I list them at the devil site.
