Man I never thought I would say this as I am more of a 1970-73 guy but, that car is beautiful.

No gauge U14 gauge package, I have seen a few 73 and 74 Z28s with no gauges. Nice car.

Very very nice early 74Z, Was for sale in Kansas, then on ebay in Nebraska, now in Michigan, seems the latest Michigan seller added a door vin decal, removed aftermarket gauges in the console, installed the correct and very hard to find early round shifter ball, and painted the booster black.

It's a good looking car. Like has been discussed, some things were done, some not "as delivered". Not deal breakers. Nice to see all the smog stuff still in place instead of tossed like the original owner did on my Z. Bottom needs some cleaning up. One thing I'm confused about is the numbers he states:
"In 1974 there were 13,802 Z28's built only 3336 came with the 4 speed M21 transmission suggesting that this Z is one of 552!"
The 13,802 total is correct. If 3,336 came with an M21 and this car has an M21, how does he come up with 1 of 552? Am I missing something? :dunno:

I wasn't following how they arrived at that number either.

My guess is he figured out the percentage of the V8 Camaros in 74 (79835) that came with the M21 (3336) which is 4% and applied that to the number of Z28's made (13802) and out pops 552. That of course assumes that it is an equal proportion of Z28's got the M21 as compared to the entire production of V8 Camaros. Flawed logic. My guess is more Z28's got a M21 than V8 Camaros. Maybe much more. Especially since a regular V8 Camaro couldn't even be optioned with the M21 Muncie but the M21 option got you a 4 speed Saginaw and a Z28 was much more likley to get a 4 speed than a regular Camaro for obvious reasons.
I would offer that about a third of Z28's probably go the M21. No data to back this up but just based on how many I have seen at shows and for sale etc.

Way over priced IMO for a smog Camaro like that. Yes nice shape. But for that kind of money to buy, find a good 60s muscle.
