Seems like a hell of a deal here for $52k. Amazing color combo and the VE3 is icing on the cake. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger but would have to unload something else to make room....
One of the nicest '69 Zs I can remember seeing on Ebay IMO. Look at those original white door panels for Chrissake...man.

Seems cheap. I'm assuming now every time you see "Matching Numbers", people are talking about restamp's and not original drivetrain (especially engines)....

I hear you, but the seller does say "The car has its original drive line when it left the GM plant" which is pretty specific.

Could be a nice deal… The stripes on the deck lid are completely wrong.
At their asking price you have to assume that you’re going to be spending more money than the initial purchase price to correct items of the cars including cosmetic and dated components.

Hard to know w/o an eyeballs inspection but BIN seems like a deal?
Note panel paint tone changes, both Doors painted separately than the car?:hmmm:

The silver grill and Endura front bumper really adds to overall look of the car.
I've never seen a code 52 Z with Ivory interior- really nice combo. I had garnet red X33D80 Z/28 with red interior briefly in early 90's. should have hung on to that car.
Question for those more experienced than myself: What are visual clues as to the door panels being original or reproduction?

Today's vinyl has a thin layer of foam. The screws along the bottom of a repro std door panel sink into it a bit; looks puffy as seen here.
OE panels had old-school vinyl bonded to the substrate; no foam. The screws don't sink into the panel.

The drivers side looks to have original door panel. The pass appears reproduction. William is the picture you're showing an enlarged picture of passenger panel on this car?

It is a passenger panel but not from this car.

Without researching and just what I'm seeing. It looks like a Killer deal. The Zs may be soft right know, but I don't think you can go wrong with this. Again if there are no stories.. If this car was a original cowl hood car. I would be buying it.

A friend of mine owned this car back in the 90’s here in Calgary. It was a solid and terrific car back then. It had already been repainted and appears to still wear that same lacquer paint to this day. I used the remaining original paint in the trunk as a reference when I was painting my Garnet Red Camaro in 1997.

It was originally a flat hood car.

I bet a V gate shifter at one time.

Looks like the shifter hole was patched?? Still looks like a great deal to me for that price.

How much under the hood is original paint? The cowl definitely looks to be original with the stripe blackout and the mist down on the TT the light spray across the lip...
I think that the fenders have their original paint on the aprons... if so that would mean the fenders would be dated for the car too... an original panel garnet over white Z would be SWEET AS HELL!
I cannot figure out what is wrong with the stripes on the deck... someone please help me... have I been screwing with corvettes too long?

Really? thats one of the things i thought was kinda funky was the way the cowl was taped off on the pass side all zig zaggy?? Maybe iam wrong but that looks redone to me...also how the trunk splatter looks like a LA car not norwood..just alot of little things.

I noticed the LA looking trunk also. The pasenger side black out on the firewall does look unusual

Does it look like this Z my have been an original flat hood car? I do not see the ZL2 Induction hood option on the Canadian Docs.

Yes, original flat hood car. I wonder where the original hood is?

I had the same question. Stripe placement looks decent. Could be better up around the back window, but not horrible.
Shame they didn't fix the floor correctly.
Still looks like a bargan to me considering the asking price for this red RS that still has its flat hood: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Chevrolet-Camaro-Z28-RS-All-matching-s-Concours-Graded-/273528134734?_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l44720&nordt=true&rt=nc&orig_cvip=true

That one is in my garage now.
Yeah, I knew that. Read the thread on CRG. Just didn't want to steal your thunder.
Congrats on a great car (and the black 67 as well).

Scott,
I see over on the pass side on the fire wall, that may have been sprayed at , the cowl tag area looks so perfect though... along with the light coverage under the lips of the fender aprons.

Relisted in the link below, with a $50k buy-it-now.

That's odd. Last auction topped out at $49,900, but did not meet the $52k reserve (or buy it now).
