Just like Benny said, the VIN should be stamped down by the oil filter, where the transmission bolts to the block.

Do you have any original paperwork and/or POP etc?
Your previous postings indicate the car is currently unrestored so good you're clarifying this now being if the true original engine, any abnormalities could be more suspect later w/ a restored car.
Sorry for the delayed greetings but welcome aboard and looking forward to hearing more about your Supercar also any of its history you can share.
Is your car 9N665177 originally raced as Old Deadeye?:hmmm:
:beers:

When located in 2003, N665177 did not have its original engine.

Such a nice car in it's racing trim. Too bad you're "restoring" it. Your car, your choice of course.

I believe Mike Kaiser had that car for sale some time ago. When he sold it, I seem to recall it was going back to a previous owner. Is that you?
Luv that car!! I’ll second Dave about leaving it unrestored, but hey... we all had a chance to buy it and do that.

I prefer original as raced cars too but a real HO Copo Camaro is cool no matter what!
Thanks for the engine info William and looks like a correct replacement now w/o restamp which is actually best w/ original block admitted as MIA.
Cool car, please share any progress pics you can.
:beers:

No I am a new owner it is very solid but the work done on it was not good I will make sure it is brought back the way it deserves I will not destroy its history but in the condition I received it no way to drive it and I am not going to drag race it so after I complete the restoration I will be able to drive it and show it and not leave it in a garage as a show peace.

Any updates regarding your COPO? Was it originally an auto as the MO code on your engine indicates? I recently helped restore a similar dated COPO, with the build date and auto code of the engine the same, 0521MO.

Was a local racer around these parts. Pretty sure OO was a construction company owner or contractor of some type.
