I knew it was a long-time CA car after seeing those bodyside rub strips - when I lived in CA in the 1990s it seemed every old car had these installed (and usually they were riveted on at the dealership when the car was sold new, so there's no easy removal).

Pretty sweet car with extensive mileage logging, original window sticker, etc, but priced accordingly...expensive for a car that I think would require a complete respray, with those unfortunate rub strips....

Those rub strips wouldn't be half as bad if they had not taken them down the quarter panel in back of the rear wheels.

Just removing them and leaving the holes may be an improvement. The holes are normally only an 1/8 inch or so.
