Has this car ever been talked about here? I can't remember any discussion...and given how unique this one is, I think I would have remembered. What an amazing find, and although it's a column shift automatic, it's pretty special IMO.

Wasn't that car featured in MCR back around 1987 or 88?

Car was featured as a 3 owner, 10,000 mile survivor in the September 1987 issue of Muscle Car Review and was owned by Ken Emmon from Houston, TX. I tried to upload the article but it said the file was too big.

That car is gorgeous, truly the Cadillac of Musclecars at that time. I think that is one car where a column auto really means nothing/no detriment, IMO.

----Was a 72 Gran Sport Stage 1 any different than a 71 in terms of actual power?...….Bill S

72 has a smog pump. Yes, a 72 is down on power from a 1971 .

non-A/C is really rare for '72.
A GREAT muscle-car- the Buick bench seats are really comfortable with that center arm-rest.

----I guess I'm asking weather the cam and compression and other similar stuff is the same. I know 72's were measured for advertised horsepower differently than 71's. Aside from the pump is the 72 engine the same as a 71 and why?...….Bill S
