I know it isn't close to a muscle car but the story is good.

I drove 5000 miles round trip in a week to buy this 1965 Triumph TR4 from my sister in law. She and her first husband bought this car new on July 30, 1965 so she owned it just short of 54 years. My youngest daughter will become the second owner.

The car was driven regularly when new and then less and less as the years went by. It was parked for the last time around 1982. It was moved once when my brother in law and her bought a new house around 1986. It sat in the same spot since then until I loaded it on the trailer Thursday.

It had one repaint in the early 70's after a minor fender bender with the right front. She reupholstered the seats and replaced the rugs around 1976. The car has 123,000 miles and the motor has never been out. Not a speck of rust!!

I am looking forward to getting it back on the road!

Great Triumph!
I'd love to pick up a TR6 as I've always loved that Bulldog look.

Very nice!! Love the TR6s and MGs. They just look like fun to throw around the hills and back roads. But heaven forbid you get a short circuit!!:frown:

Cheers

Looks like a beauty also cool it's already part of the family!
My buddy Leon built a few SBC TR6's w/ Muncies/beefed chassis/narrowed 9" rears, crazy fast cars at the time for the $ spent.
:beers:
