Evening folks!

My schedule this month has me headed to Iceland and our route of flight takes us right over Greenland. Due to global warming, the tilt of the earth's axis, and Mars being in Aquarius, :hmmm: it's been exceptionally clear on the North Atlantic this summer. As a result, I done gots some pretty cool shots of Greenland the other day.

Figured I'd post up a few. I come back here Friday and that's when the solstice happens. I'm telling you, if it's anything like the show The Vikings, stuff gonna be goin' down 'round town Friday!

Contrary to popular belief, you don't hear Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song when you walk off the plane. See, I thought you did too, but that's an old myth, apparently:tongue:

Cheers
Dave

Cool pix Dave. I've got some pictures of Greenland from a C-130 from about 30 years ago. Looked just as cold then. Phil

Cool stuff Dave. Did you go for a swim while you were there?

Doesn't look very green to me.

From back in grade school, I recall that Iceland is green and Greenland is ice. Can't say for sure cause never been to either.

Beautiful photos.

We think we live on a crowded planet until you fly over these places at night. Hours and hours without seeing a single light. I thought I was over the ocean until I looked at the in-flight map.

I'm probably wrong, but I heard somewhere that Iceland did indeed used to be ice covered, and Greenland used to be green. Probably an urban myth?
